Celtic Astrology is based on the lunar Druidic calendar. The Druids, whose culture is believed to stem as far back as 500 BC, believed that each tree contained a
magical tree spirit. These tree spirits, known as dryads, symbolizes the spiritual nature of humans—exemplifying the subconscious mind, emotions, and connection with the Divine. This system has strong parallels to traditional Astrology, although some believe this method is closer to Vedic Astrology. An interesting aspect of Celtic Astrology is the “Nameless Day”. This day falls outside the lunar calendar and represents the unshaped potential of all things—similar to the Fool card of Tarot and the blank stone that has been added to modern rune systems.
